Sunday, August 19, 2012, 10:30 AM – Debbie Rushfelt will speak on the theme “Make Melody to the Lord” with Jane Landrum presiding. Jason Scott will serve as the Worship Commissioner.

Adult Sunday School Schedule:

Here’s the Adult Sunday School class schedule for the upcoming weeks. We’ll finish out August using the church’s recommended adult curricula: Seasons of the Spirit. Then in September, we’ll be watching and discussing the church’s 2 DVD series on “The Role of Scripture in Discovering God’s Will.” The DVD includes segments by President Veazey, Jim Slauter, Barbara Carter, Greg Prymak, Tony and Charmaine Chvala-Smith, and Katherine Goheen.

  • August 19 – “Living Wisdom” based on Ephesians 5:15-20 taught by Paul Bennetts
  • August 26 – “Strengthen and Equipped” based on Ephesians 6:10-20 taught by Paul Bennetts
  • September 2 – “Ways of Discovering God’s Will” Part 1 of “The Role of Scripture” taught by Jonathan Bacon with Clint Reine and Jane Landrum
  • September 9 – “Using Scripture in Community of Christ” Part 2 of “The Role of Scripture” taught by Jonathan Bacon with Clint Reine and Jane Landrum
  • September 16 – “Scripture is Dynamic” Part 3  of “The Role of Scripture” taught by Jonathan Bacon with Clint Reine and Jane Landrum
  • September 23 – “Selecting Scripture for Further Study: Homosexuality” Part 4 of “The Role of Scripture” taught by Jonathan Bacon with Clint Reine and Jane Landrum
  • September 30 – How Scripture Informs Us” Part 5 of “The Role of Scripture” taught by Jonathan Bacon with Clint Reine and Jane Landrum
