Monday, September 10, 2012, 7:00-8:30 PM- First Mission Bells Rehearsal of the New Season in church Sanctuary.

Wednesday, September 12, 2012, 6:30 PM – Saints Chorale Rehearsal in the Church Sanctuary.

Thursday, September 13, 2012, 7:00 PM – All Good Books group meets are the Leawood Pioneer Library (4700 Town Center Drive, Leawood, KS) to discuss “That Used To Be Us” by Thomas Friedman and Michael Mandelbaum.

Sunday, September 16, 2012, 8:45 AM – Donuts & Coffee Breakfast (Greg Stollsteimer), join the informal conversations in the Fellowship Hall.

Sunday, September 16, 2012, 9:30 AM –Sunday School Classes for Children and Adults.

Sunday, September 16, 2012, 10:30 AM – Clint Reine will speak on the theme “Follow Me” with Jane Landrum presiding. Jane also will serve as the Worship Commissioner.  The morning worship will also be a baptism and confirmation service.

Adult Sunday School Schedule:

Here’s the Adult Sunday School class schedule for the upcoming weeks. We’ll watch and discuss the church’s 2 DVD series on “The Role of Scripture in Discovering God’s Will” during September. The DVD includes segments by President Veazey, Jim Slauter, Barbara Carter, Greg Prymak, Tony and Charmaine Chvala-Smith, and Katherine Goheen.

  • September 16 – “Using Scripture in Community of Christ” by Barbara Carter (Part 2 of “The Role of Scripture in Discovering God’s Will”). The class will be taught by Jonathan Bacon with Clint Reine and Jane Landrum
  • September 23 – “Scripture is Dynamic” Part 3  of “The Role of Scripture in Discovering God’s Will” taught by Jonathan Bacon with Clint Reine and Jane Landrum
  • September 30 – “Selecting Scripture for Further Study: Homosexuality” Part 4 of “The Role of Scripture in Discovering God’s Will” taught by Jonathan Bacon with Clint Reine and Jane Landrum
  • October 7 – How Scripture Informs Us” Part 5 of “The Role of Scripture in Discovering God’s Will” taught by Jonathan Bacon with Clint Reine and Jane Landrum
