Adult Sunday School Schedule:

Yesterday morning’s discussion of the church’s video series on “The Role of Scripture in Discovering God’s Will” was planned as a wrap-up session, but insufficient time resulted in the need for one more Sunday dedicated to this topic.

On Sunday, November 4, 2012, the class instructor (Jonathan Bacon) will present a document outlining the issues and procedures that have been established for the 2013 USA National Conference (this document is available online at http://www.cofchrist.org/USAConf/update060112.asp) plus a second document outlining how the six lenses have been used to form the instructor’s personal opinion regarding the issues facing the National Conference. After that material has been presented, the remainder of the time will be dedicated to open discussion. Class members will again be invited to respond to the following questions:

1. How do you personally use and prioritize the six lenses (scripture, reason and knowledge, tradition, personal and community experience, continuing revelation and common consent)?
2. In what ways do you value/use scripture in your life personally?
3. In addition to what (the content) you believe can you talk about how (why) you believe as you do?
