ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS SCHEDULE
The adult class has begun “Investigating the Book of Mormon” (on the third, fourth and fifth Sundays of each month) and the study of “The Journey of a People” by Church Historian Mark A. Scherer (on the first and second Sundays of each month).
Sunday, July 29, 2013 at 9:30 AM – the class will focus on Chapter 1 of “Millions Call it Scripture: The Book of Mormon in the 21st Century” by Alan D. Tyree ($19.95 from Herald House) and Chapter 1 of “The Book of Mormon’s Witness to Its First Readers” by Dale E. Luffman ($19.95 from Herald House). You do NOT need to buy the books, but for those interested in reading, we’ll indicate each week the chapter being discussed. We’ll also continue the discussion of “What is scripture?” Bring your “Book of Mormon,” each week we’ll talk about a different story or passage in addition to reviewing current issues, criticisms and challenges of the book. Jonathan Bacon will lead the class.
Sunday, August 4, 2013 at 9:30 AM – the class will begin discussion of Mark A. Scherer’s “The Journey of a People, Volume I.” Again, the book is not required but for those interested; the two volume set is available from Herald House for $59.95. Jane Landrum will lead the class.
