Sunday, October 27, 2013, 9:30 AM – Sunday School Classes for children and adults.

  • Pre-Teen (8 and older) Children’s Sunday School Class will meet in the downstairs classroom (across the hall and to the left at the base of the stairs) – 9:30 to 10:15 AM.
  • God’s Kids (4-7 years old) will meet in the Children’s Library – 9:30 to 10:15 AM
  • Adult Class will meet in the Church Library – 9:30 to 10:15 AM

Sunday, October 27, 2013, 10:30 AM – Clint Reine will speak on the theme “Serve Humbly” and Kennetha Kuttler will preside. Avis Garrett-Baptist will serve as worship planner. Penny Bunkers and Jane Landrum will offer the ministry of music.

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS SCHEDULE

Sunday, October 27, 2013, The Church History/Book of Mormon adult class led by Jane Landrum and Jonathan Bacon will continue the discussion of similarities between “View of the Hebrews” by Ethan Smith and the Book of Mormon. Bring your Book of Mormon and read Mosiah Chapters 1-5, if you haven’t already. If time permits we’ll discuss the four stage conversion process (discussed briefly two weeks ago) and the translation process using the Urim and Thummim and seer stones.

Readings for next Sunday include Chapter 3 of Millions Call It Scripture: The Book of Mormon in the 21st Century” by Alan Tyree and Chapter 3 of “The Book of Mormon’s Witness to Its First Readers.”

Sunday, November 3, 2013 at 9:30 AM – the class will continue discussion of Mark A. Scherer’s “The Journey of a People, Volume I,” last part of Chapter 5. Jane Landrum will lead this class.

Note: The adult class continues to study “The Journey of a People” by Church Historian Mark A. Scherer (on the first and second Sundays of each month) and then focus on “Investigating the Book of Mormon” (on the third, fourth and fifth Sundays of each month) using the Tyree and Luffman books.
