Thursday, July 3, 2014, – Ukulele Group meets at Baptist Home.

Friday, July 4, 2014, 10 AM – 1 PM – Prairie Village Days activities at the church with bouncy houses, balloons, food and more.

Sunday, July 6, 2014, 8:45 AM – Donuts & Coffee Breakfast (Paul Hedrick), join the informal conversations in the Fellowship Hall.

Sunday, July 6, 2014, 9:30 AM – Sunday School Classes for children and adults.

  • God’s Kids will meet in the Children’s Library – 9:30 to 11:30 AM.
  • Pre-Teen class will meet in a downstairs classroom – 9:30 to 10:15 AM then join God’s Kids until 11:30 AM.
  • Adult Class will meet in the Church Library – 9:30 to 10:15 AM.

Sunday, July 6, 2014, 10:30 AM – Ron Millard will speak on the theme “Come and Find Rest” and Linda Dayton will preside. Linda will also serve as worship planner.

Monday through Wednesday, July 28-30, 2014, 6:30-8:30 PM – Vacation Bible School for children ages 3-12.


On July 6, 2014, the Adult Sunday School Class will hear from Barbara Bernauer regarding her ancestor, George Morey and his involvement in Far West. Then discussion will resume on Mark Scherer’s “The Journey of a People” Chapter 13 titled “Finding Sanctuary and Forging Unity at Far West.” As time permits, the discussion will also cover Chapter 14 on “Fortress Mentality, Violence and Expulsion.” Jane Landrum will lead the class discussion.

The beginning numbers of each filename indicate the Sunday of the podcast. The first 4 digits represent the year, the next two digits indicate the month and last two digits represent the day of the month. In most cases the date is followed by a dash and then the first initial and last name of the speaker.

Podcasts from previous years are located in folders corresponding to the year (2005, 2006, 2007, and so on). If you missed a Sunday, this provides you a way to hear the music and the message.


The All Good Books Club will not meet in July, so the next meeting will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at the Leawood Pioneer Library (4700 Town Center Drive, Leawood, KS) to discuss Calling Invisible Women by Jeanne Ray.
