Sunday, August 3, 2014, 8:45 AM – Donuts & Coffee Breakfast (Marge and John Trinkl), join the informal conversations in the Fellowship Hall.

Sunday, August 3, 2014, 9:30 AM – Sunday School Classes for children and adults.

  • God’s Kids will meet in the Children’s Library – 9:30 to 11:30 AM.
  • Pre-Teen class will meet in a downstairs classroom – 9:30 to 10:15 AM then join God’s Kids until 11:30 AM.
  • Adult Class will meet in the Church Library – 9:30 to 10:15 AM.

Sunday, August 3, 2014, 10:30 AM – Charles Athey will speak on the theme “Be Generous” and Clint Reine will preside. Clint will also serve as worship planner.


On Sunday, August 3, 2014, the Adult Class will return to the discussion of “The Journey of a People,” by Mark Scherer. We’ll discuss Chapter 15 (“Nauvoo, Illinois: Creating a New Community on the Mississippi”). Jane Landrum will lead the class discussion.


All are invited to the Church Art Group which is held on the 1st and 3rd Sunday’s of each month at the Avis and Jeremy Baptist Home from 6:00-9:00 PM. You don’t have to be an artist to attend, only a willingness to try is necessary.


Do you have a Ukulele in your closet or ever wanted to learn to play? You’re invited to join a fun, social group that learning to play the Ukulele! The Ukulele Group meets on the first Thursday of every month. Part of the fun is sharing a potluck meal together as well! Contact Avis Garrett-Baptist for more information!

The beginning numbers of each filename indicate the Sunday of the podcast. The first 4 digits represent the year, the next two digits indicate the month and last two digits represent the day of the month. In most cases the date is followed by a dash and then the first initial and last name of the speaker.

Podcasts from previous years are located in folders corresponding to the year (2005, 2006, 2007, and so on). If you missed a Sunday, this provides you a way to hear the music and the message.


The next meeting of the All Good Books Club will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at the Leawood Pioneer Library (4700 Town Center Drive, Leawood, KS) to discuss Calling Invisible Women by Jeanne Ray.
