MISSION ROAD CONGREGATION EVENTS AND PROJECTS

PRAYERS REQUESTED AND NEEDED FOR TWO FAMILIES

Paul Hedrick is recovering from pneumonia at Advanced Health Care of Overland Park (4700 Indian Creek Pkwy, Overland Park, KS). Arlene Leonard is organizing meals for Janice, if anyone can assist. Paul is receptive to visitors and Janice could use visits and phone calls. And of course, Paul and Janice can use your prayers.

Memorial services will be held for Lonnie Jesser, Renata Ann Jesser-Wehry and Terry Wehry on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 10 AM at the Webb Road Community of Christ (3500 S. Webb Road, Wichita, KS). Lonnie and Renata Ann are Wanetta Baldwin’s niece and nephew. Terry is Wanetta’s nephew-in-law.

The three were killed in a head-on collision when a semi-tractor trailer crossed the median and struck their passenger car on K-254 northeast of Wichita.

Wanetta and her husband Bill Baldwin are former members of the Mission Road Congregation. Please remember the entire family in your thoughts and prayers.

Funeral Services

Dr. Jeremy Strom’s grandmother Betty Strom passed away on March 7th. Funeral Services will be held in Chadron, Nebraska on Thursday March 14th. Cards are appreciated.

Audio recordings of past worship services are available online at https://bit.ly/2MSgZW8. This is a short URL for a Google Drive folder with past recordings.

Recordings are located in folders corresponding to the year (e.g., 2017, 2018). If you missed a Sunday, this provides you a way to hear the music and the message.

Each audio recording begins with the date of the service (20190224 represents February 24, 2019). The date is followed by a dash and the first initial and last name of the speaker.

CONCERNING PRAYER REQUESTS

Please know that any member of the congregation can post prayer requests or share information about members and events on the Mission Road Members Only Facebook page. You do not need to send the information for approval to anyone. In fact, doing so may slow down the dissemination of your request. Be sure to include the person needing prayers and what situation has occurred (if you wish to share that information). If your post concerns an event or news item, be sure to include the basics in your posting (such as who, what, where and when).

For prayer requests, if you do not have access to Facebook, then please call Paul Bennetts our Congregational Pastoral Care Coordinator.
