Margaret Athey’s twin sister Mary Jo Hallberg, after a long illness, has passed away. Her name is in our Mission Road church directory and she is a lifelong member of our church.

Mary Jo was a helpful person and spent many hours working as a nurse for the Red Cross at many disasters where immediate help was needed. Mary Jo and Chet Hallberg, her husband of 65 years, enjoyed amateur radio, camping, and the outdoors.

Paul Bennetts will preside at her funeral service this Saturday, Feb 8th, at 1:00 PM, at McGilley & Hoge Johnson County Memorial Chapel at 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, KS. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in honor of her to the Red Cross at redcross.org.
