THIS WEEK’S CALENDAR: July 1-7, 2013

Thursday, July 4, 2013, 7:30 AM-1:00 PM – VillageFest at Prairie Village Park, adjacent to the church, with Chris Cakes pancake breakfast (starting at 7:30 AM), live music, petting farm and more.

Thursday, July 4, 2013, 10:00 AM-1:00 PM Fourth of July Celebration at the church with inflatables, hot dogs, drinks, and other yard fun!

Sunday, July 7, 2013, 8:45 AM – Donuts & Coffee Breakfast (Arlene and Lee Leonard), join the informal conversations in the Fellowship Hall.

Sunday, July 7, 2013, 9:30 AM – Sunday School Classes for children and adults.

  • Pre-Teen (8 and older) Children’s Sunday School Class will meet in the downstairs classroom (just to the right when you arrive at the foot of the stairs) – 9:30 to 10:15 AM
  • God’s Kids (4-7 years old) will meet in the Children’s Library – 9:30 to 11:30 AM
  • Adult Class will meet in the Church Library

Sunday, July 7, 2013, 10:30 AM – Ron Millard will speak on the theme “Humble Yourself” with Robin Payne presiding. Avis Garrett-Baptist will serve as worship planner. Charles Athey will offer the ministry of music.

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS SCHEDULE

Again this Sunday, the Adult Class will continue studying “Signal Communities…Reflect Christ’s Peace” (a text recommended by the World Church). Copies are available on the table in the Fellowship Hall. Take a copy and if you’re able, please add the $12 cost to their regular congregational offering.

July 7, 2013: Session 5 Signal Communities – Honor the Sacredness of Creation – instructor: Avis Garrett-Baptist

July 14, 2013: Session 6 Signal Communities – Speak and Live Christ’s Mission – instructor: Jennifer Libeer
