Thursday, August 8, 2013, 7:00 PM – All Good Books club meets at Leawood Pioneer Library (4700 Town Center Drive, Leawood, KS) to discuss “This Book Will Save Your Life” by A.M. Homes.  

Sunday, August 11, 2013, 8:00 AM – Priesthood and Leaders Devotion, please come and share.

Sunday, August 11, 2013, 8:45 AM – Donuts & Coffee Breakfast (Greg Stollsteimer), join the informal conversations in the Fellowship Hall.

Sunday, August 11, 2013, 9:30 AM – Sunday School Classes for children and adults.

  • Pre-Teen (8 and older) Children’s Sunday School Class will meet in the downstairs classroom (across the hall and to the left at the base of the stairs) – 9:30 to 10:15 AM
  • God’s Kids (4-7 years old) will meet in the Children’s Library – 9:30 to 10:15 AM
  • Adult Class will meet in the Church Library

Sunday, August 11, 2013, 10:30 AM – Linda Dayton will speak on the theme “Live in Faith” with Jim McLaughlin presiding. Brenda McLaughlin will also serve as worship planner. A vocal ensemble will offer the ministry of music.

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS SCHEDULE

The adult class has begun studying “The Journey of a People” by Church Historian Mark A. Scherer (on the first and second Sundays of each month) and also focusing on “Investigating the Book of Mormon” (on the third, fourth and fifth Sundays of each month).

Sunday, August 11, 2013 at 9:30 AM – the class will continue discussion of Mark A. Scherer’s “The Journey of a People, Volume I.” The book is not required but for those interested; the two volume set is available from Herald House for $59.95.  If you have the books, please read chapters 1-2. Jane Landrum will lead this class.

Sunday, August 18, 2013 at 9:30 AM – the class will continue discussion of the Book of Mormon using Alan D. Tyree’s text “Millions Call It Scripture: The Book of Mormon in the 21st Century.” The book is not required but for those interested; it is available from Herald House for $19.95.  Additionally, we’ll also cover some information in “The Book of Mormon’s Witness to Its First Readers” by Dale E. Luffman. If you have the books, please read chapters 1-2 in each book. Jonathan Bacon will lead this class.

Sunday, August 25, 2013 at 9:30 AM – the class will continue discussion of the Book of Mormon. Jonathan Bacon will lead this class.

ALL GOOD BOOKS GROUP

The next meeting of the All Good Books Club will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at the Leawood Pioneer Library (4700 Town Center Drive, Leawood, KS) to discuss
