  • Nursery available – 9:30-11:30 AM in downstairs Nursery.
  • Pre-Teen class will meet in a downstairs classroom – 9:30 to 10:15.
  • Adult Class will meet in the Church Library – 9:30 to 10:15 AM.

Sunday, November 16, 2014, 10:30 AM – Ted Scott, G.S., Uncle of Cheryl Kennedy, will speak on the theme “Make Responsible Choices” with Jane Landrum presiding. Avis-Garrett-Baptist will serve as worship planner. Mission Bells and Cheryl Kennedy will offer the ministry of music.

Thursday, November 13, 2014, 7:00 PM – The All Good Books group meets at the Leawood Pioneer Library to discuss “Me Before You” by JoJo Moyes.

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS SCHEDULE

On Sunday, November 16, 2014, Jane Landrum will lead the discussion on Mark A. Scherer’s “The Journey of a People.” The class will focus on finishing Chapter 16 and then starting subsequent chapters in Scherer’s book.

2014 CONGREGATIONAL BUSINESS MEETING

Please be aware we have tentatively scheduled our Annual Business Meeting for Sunday, November 16, 2014. We will plan to have a potluck dinner after church followed by the business meeting. The budget and congregational officers and Pastors will be the main topics.

CHURCH ART GROUP

All are invited to the Church Art Group, which is held on the 1st and 3rd Sunday’s of each month at the Avis and Jeremy Baptist Home from 6:00-9:00 PM. You don’t have to be an artist to attend, only a willingness to try is necessary.

2015 PASTOR SEARCH COMMITTEE

The Pastor Search Committee (Margaret Athey, Avis Garrett-Baptist, Jim McLaughlin, Ron Millard, Eloise Snider, and Jerry Rushfelt) have proposed a leadership model with pastors Karen and Larry Birkby with assistants to be determined. The pastorate would be assisted by a leadership team that would focus ministries in specific areas: Small Groups, Priesthood Development, Outreach, Young Adults, Pastoral Care, Worship, Music, Education, Children, Youth, Seniors, Building, and others as needed..

The beginning numbers of each filename indicate the Sunday of the podcast. The first 4 digits represent the year, the next two digits indicate the month and last two digits represent the day of the month. In most cases, the date is followed by a dash and then the first initial and last name of the speaker.

Podcasts from previous years are located in folders corresponding to the year (2005, 2006, 2007, and so on). If you missed a Sunday, this provides you a way to hear the music and the message.

ALL GOOD BOOKS GROUP

The next meeting of the All Good Books Club is scheduled for 7:00 PM on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at the Leawood Pioneer Library (4700 Town Center Drive, Leawood, KS) to discuss “Me Before You” by JoJo Moyes. Avis Garrett-Baptist will facilitate the discussion.
