DAVID OWEN BARNHARD ARRIVES!

From Kirk Barnhard: "I wanted to let you all know that TJ and myself welcomed David "Owen" Barnhard into the world today. Baby and mother are going great. 9 lbs 0 oz, 21.5 inches long. Look forward to bringing him to church soon."

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS SCHEDULE

The Adult Sunday School class is studying Mark Scherer’s "The Journey of a People: The Era of Reorganization, 1844 to 1946." On Sunday, the class will finish the discussion of Chapter 11 ("Transformation to Modernity: Challenge and Response") starting on page 212 and then continue with Chapter 12 ("Legal Means to Achieve Spiritual Ends"). Dennis Wood and Jane Landrum will co-lead the class discussion.

WEDDING SHOWER ANNOUNCEMENT (Note Time Change)

A wedding shower will be held on August 23, 2015 at 2:00 PM for Alisa Morse and Bill Johnson in the church library. Please plan to attend.

2016 WORLD CONFERENCE LEGISLATION

The deadline for mission centers to submit items for 2016 World Conference consideration is February 5, 2016. Submitted legislation must first be approved by action of a mission center conference. The Midlands USA Mission Center conference is scheduled for Saturday, October 3, at the Olathe Community of Christ congregation.

Legislation to be considered by Midlands USA Mission Center – whether it’s meeting new people, the awesome counselors, or for submission to the 2016 World Conference – should be received by September 5, 2015 to allow for timely distribution throughout the mission center. Resolutions can be sent via email to Barbara Borkowski, Midlands, Interim President at bborkowski.

Sunday, July 26, 2015, 10:30 AM – Jonathan Bacon will speak on the theme "Our Gifts Are Multiplied" with Jane Landrum presiding. Valerie Anderson will serve as worship planner. The Men’s Quartet will offer the ministry of music.

The next meeting of the All Good Books discussion group is scheduled on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 7:00 PM in the Community of Christ (7842 Mission Road, Prairie Village, KS).) Church Library. The book we will discuss is "Mr. Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore" by Robin Sloan.

The beginning numbers of each filename indicate the Sunday of the audio recordings. The first 4 digits represent the year; the next two digits indicate the month and last two digits represent the day of the month. In most cases, the date is followed by a dash and then the first initial and last name of the speaker.

Audio recordings from previous years are located in folders corresponding to the year (2005, 2006, 2007, and so on). If you missed a Sunday, this provides you a way to hear the music and the message.
