UPCOMING EVENTS

NEXT (AUGUST) BOOK CLUB MEETING

The next meeting of the All Good Books discussion group is scheduled on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 7:00 PM in the Community of Christ (7842 Mission Road, Prairie Village, KS).) Church Library. The book we will discuss is "Mr. Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore" by Robin Sloan.

From Goodreads.com, here is a brief teaser for the book: "The Great Recession has shuffled Clay Jannon away from life as a San Francisco web-design drone and into the aisles of Mr. Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore. But after a few days on the job, Clay discovers that the store is more curious than either its name or its gnomic owner might suggest. The bookstore’s secrets extend far beyond its walls."

The book club has also filled out its schedule for the next several months. The schedule of meeting dates and books is available at https://allbooksclub.wordpress.com/meeting-dates-books/. Note that the February 2016 meeting date is the 3rd rather than the traditional 2nd Thursday of the month.
