THURSDAY

Community of Christ Historic Sites Foundation will present their next lecture on Zoom this Thursday, Feb. 23, at 7:00 p.m. Central time. This week’s lecture, “The Story of Jane,” is about Jane Elizabeth Manning James, an African American convert to the church in the 1840’s which seems appropriate since this is Black History Month.

Professor Newell will tell stories about Jane James’ experiences and how they can inform our understanding of black history, church history, and women’s history. After the lecture there will be time for questions and answers which has always been quite interesting in past lectures.

The lecture is free but registration is required. You can register by going to Community of Christ Historic Sites Foundation website at www.historicsitesfoundation

2. Click ’sign up’ in the upper right-hand corner to create your account or ’sign in’ if you have already set up your account.

3. Select one-time contribution or continuing contribution.
