URGENT PRAYER REQUEST

There will be a Nationwide Prayer effort tonight offered on behalf of Jackson Tijerina (our grandson) by churches across the country. This season of prayer has been organized by a lady in Council Bluffs, IA and radio station KLOVE in Omaha, NE. It will take place at 7:30 pm tonight. We are asking everyone to join together and pray for Jackson as he struggles to beat the cancer that has invaded his brain and body.

On behalf of our family, we thank you!

CHILDREN’S MOMENT

We will soon be implementing a children moment during our 10:30 worship service. If you are interested in leading a children’s moment, please let the pastors know.

FINAL CALL FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE

We’ve reported on the progress of Nick Keehler’s GoFundMission project which has 9 days to go and is now $145 short to reach his goal (see below for more details). If no one commits to donating the remaining $145, none of the funds go to Nick and the project is unfunded. ANY amount will help. Please consider donating $5, $10 or $20 toward Mick’s YouthQuest mission. We have a very close connection to Nick in that he’s participated in Mission Center youth activities.

From Clint Reine: I just wanted to make everyone aware of an opportunity to help a young adult college student (formerly a very active teenager who went to all our MMC summer camps) from the Highlands Congregation. Nick has helped out with a lot of youth events here at Mission Road. He is studying Religion at Graceland University and was selected by World Service Corps to go help the Community of Christ in England at Dunfield House. He needs to raise funds (through the World Church affiliated "Go Fund Mission" website. If you are able to give any amount of money he would be very appreciative. His parents, by the way, have been Camp Directors for Junior Camp for many, many years and even helped at YouthQuest, which is held in our own building. This is a very active family in our Church, Mission Center, and has been helpful to Mission Road on many occasions. Your donations will therefore help someone who is going to help our church and a person who has helped Mission Road.

You can donate at: https://www.gofundmission.org/projects/wsc-nick/

If you wish to donate by check, please send a check made payable to – Community of Christ – USA Fields; GoFundMission, 1001 W. Walnut, Independence, MO 64050. Please include your e-mail address and identify which project you are wishing to support.

Check out the website for more detailed information about Nick and his World Service Corps project.

Audio recordings of many of the last several years’ worth of worship services are available online at https://goo.gl/wREl03. Note this is a new shortened URL that will take you to a Google Drive with many of the recordings from the past.

Recordings are located in folders corresponding to the year (2015, 2016, and so on).

If you missed a Sunday, this provides you a way to hear the music and the message.

The beginning numbers of each filename indicate the date of the service.

The first 4 digits represent the year; the next two digits indicate the month and last two digits represent the day of the month.

In most cases, the date is followed by a dash and then the first initial and last name of the speaker. Enjoy!

CONCERNING PRAYER REQUESTS

Please know that any member of the congregation can post prayer requests or share information about members and events on the Mission Road Members Only Facebook page. You do not need to send the information for approval to anyone. In fact doing so may slow down the dissemination of your request. If your post concerns an event or news item, be sure to include the basics in your posting (such as who, what, where and when).

For prayer requests, if you do not have access to Facebook, then please call Paul Bennetts or John Trinkl Sr., our Congregational Pastoral Care Coordinators.
